This Privacy Policy explains how Neuroshift ("we", "us", or "our") collects and uses information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
Neuroshift is a wellness app that offers neuroscience-based techniques. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
1. Information You Provide
During onboarding and regular use, you may provide the following information so the App can tailor its recommendations:
- Age range
- Gender identity
- Primary wellness goal (e.g. focus, calm, sleep)
- Self-reported symptoms and triggers (e.g. brain fog severity, anxiety level, worst time of day)
- Sleep quality, daily screen time, and exercise frequency
- Experience with mindfulness or similar practices
- Preferred session times and daily commitment
You may also optionally provide a subjective clarity score after each session and cognitive test results generated inside the App.
This information is used solely to personalize your in-App experience. It is stored locally on your device and, unless explicitly consented to, is not transmitted to us.
2. Information Collected Automatically
Usage and Diagnostic Data
If you consent via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, we may collect anonymous analytics and diagnostic data to improve the App:
- Screens viewed and features used
- Session counts and protocol completions (without your self-reported health details)
- Device type, operating system version, App version
- Crash reports and performance data
If you decline tracking, we do not transmit analytics events attributable to your device.
Subscription Status
When you subscribe, RevenueCat processes your receipt and returns entitlement status to the App so features unlock correctly. No payment or credit card information is collected or stored by us.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following services. Each is configured to minimize data collection:
- Apple StoreKit — processes all in-app purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy terms.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlement state. Receives an anonymous user identifier and purchase receipts.
- PostHog — product analytics. Receives anonymous events if you consent to tracking.
- Meta (Facebook) SDK — measures install attribution and ad performance if you consent to tracking.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share only the minimum information needed for each service to function.
4. App Tracking Transparency
On iOS, you will be asked whether the App may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. Your choice controls whether any advertising or attribution identifiers are shared with Meta or similar partners. You can change this setting at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
5. Health & Wellness Data
The self-reported information you provide (symptoms, sleep, anxiety severity, etc.) is wellness-adjacent. We handle it with the same care as other sensitive information:
- It stays on your device by default via local storage.
- It is not shared with insurers, employers, advertisers, or third parties.
- You can delete all of it from Settings → Developer → Clear All Data in supported builds, or by deleting the App.
Neuroshift does not read from Apple Health and does not write to Apple Health.
6. How We Use Information
- Generate your daily personalized plan
- Track your streaks, clarity score, and session history locally
- Improve the App and understand aggregate usage patterns
- Provide customer support when you contact us
We do not use your wellness data for targeted advertising.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Personal information you provide is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics data is retained by our providers in accordance with their policies. You may request deletion of any residual account or entitlement data by emailing us at the address below.
8. Children's Privacy
Neuroshift is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us.
10. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect the limited data we process. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; you use the App at your own risk.
11. Not Medical Advice
Neuroshift provides general wellness techniques based on published research. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any wellness routine, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take medication.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
