These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Ahumm (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Use
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
You agree not to:
- Misuse or interfere with the App or its services
- Attempt to copy, modify, reverse engineer, or extract source code
- Use the App for any unlawful or harmful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent the subscription, credits, or paywall system
- Submit text that describes real people in a way that is unlawful, harassing, or that violates their rights
2. What the App Does
Ahumm takes a description you write of the life you want and produces short audio stories, paintings, and music about it, using third-party AI services. The stories describe an imagined future in the first person. They are not predictions, promises, or advice of any kind.
3. Not Advice
The App is a reflective and creative practice. It does not provide medical, psychological, financial, legal, or relationship advice, and it does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Consult a qualified professional for decisions in these areas. If you are in distress, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
4. Your Content
You keep ownership of the text you write and the people you name. You give us a licence to process that text to make your stories, paintings, and music, to store the results for you, and to show them back to you in the App. You are responsible for the text you submit, including any names of real people.
The stories, paintings, and narration the App makes for you are for your personal use. You may share them privately. You may not sell them or present them as made by a human.
5. Generated Content
Generated content can be inaccurate, unexpected, or unlike what you asked for. We filter for safety but cannot guarantee that every output will be appropriate or free of error. If a story or painting is wrong or upsetting, you can regenerate it where the App offers that, or contact us.
6. Subscriptions, Credits, and Payments
- The first story of your first world is free. Further stories, worlds, and instant openings are part of a paid subscription or paid one-time purchases.
- Subscriptions auto-renew through the Apple App Store unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's App Store account settings.
- Subscription credits for instant openings are granted per period, do not carry over, and have no cash value.
- One-time purchases ("Open a story now", "Open the whole world") are consumed when used and are non-refundable once used, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Pricing, refunds, and cancellation are governed by Apple. We do not handle billing directly.
7. Accounts
The App creates an anonymous account on first launch so your worlds can be restored on a new device. A recovery phrase is shown once; keep it safe, because we cannot recover an account without it. You can delete your account and all its content from inside the App.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, its ready-made worlds, its narrator voices, its music, its branding, and the underlying software are owned by or licensed to AlphaAware and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from them without written permission.
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Any story will arrive at an exact time
- Any specific results or outcomes will occur in your life
- The App will meet your individual needs or expectations
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlphaAware is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of your use of the App, including loss of data or decisions you make based on generated content.
11. Termination
We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without notice. Your subscription rights with Apple are preserved for the period paid.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence. Any disputes will be resolved in a reasonable jurisdiction under those laws.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
